MIA

His trip around the USA has been problematic. He's gone missing twice, the latest stall in his adventure is occurring right now; he's been stuck in place for two months and I've only just been informed that he is still with his last host, due to illness, which is unfortunate.

I have asked for him to be returned home, so that I can forward him to Australia for the last leg of his tour. I am cutting his stay in the US short by doing this but, unfortunately, he was supposed have been in Oz, Tas and NZ over a month ago, so I have no choice.

To those in the USA who were expecting him, I apologise, but I simply can't risk him disappearing again, so I'm going to try and conclude this tour as soon as possible within the deadline and see what happens next. It may well be that I no longer send him about and about randomly. He may be assigned to specific trips with specific people.

This also means that there are few photographs from the United States, which is disappointing as there is a lot he could have done and seen. But these days, everyone is feeling the pinch and charity is taking a bit of a knock, which is regrettable but understandable as belts tighten. This is why I reduced the target figure from £5,000 to £1,000; it was clear early on that not a lot of money was around to put to a charity that was outside of the countries he was visiting.

People get ill, or they have life changes that affect their plans and Mr T gets caught up in that too, so it's something we have to accept as part of his lifespan during tours.

Hopefully, the little fur-ball will be back home for a rest before his final journey this year.

Have a nice day America!

After a few weeks of R&R at home, Mr T has arrived in the USA. He's being hosted by Lynda in California at the moment and will soon be moving on to another state - Kansas, to spend some quality time with Karen in Fort Leavenworth.

He should be in America for about a month before returning home again for a tidy up and rest. Then he will head out to Australia for the first part of his 'down-under' tour, where he'll visit the big continent, taking in Oz, Tasmania and New Zealand.

He'll come back in the Summer and finish his first year adventure by completing his UK tour with the hosts who missed out first time around.

Keep visiting the website http://www.tonsilpus.com/; we have new bits and pieces to add... and don't forget to tell your Facebook and Twitter friends about him!

India

Bob took him off for a 10-day tour of India and, by all accounts, he's had a wonderful trip and met lots of new and exciting people.

His 'trophy' box is beginning to fill up with lots of bits and pieces that people have been sending him home with and on his return from India, he had collected a Five Rupee note and a few coins, as well as a luggage tag, stamped with the date of his travels.

Keep it up folks! He's starting to tour in earnest now and his next destination is the USA, where I'm sure he will have even more adventures.

Don't forget to jot down your memories with him and send them to us so that we can post them in this blog.

Where is he?

First of all, Mr Tonsilpus wishes all his fans a Happy New Year. Unfortunately, he can't tell his new host that because, since the end of December, he has been missing in action... somewhere in the Canadian postal system!

This is the second time he's been delayed in getting to where he needs to be and we can't think of a solution, other than tracked mail which is expensive and we can't ask our hosts to fork our lots of money just to send him to his next destination. On the other hand he is priceless and so is his signed passport, which cannot be replaced.

We are hoping he will turn up in the next few days and then we will think about our options. He needs to be protected against postal kidnapping!

Canada-bound!

Well, he's been home for a week and it's time to send him away again on the next leg of his world tour. There's some big stuff coming, publicity-wise over the next few months and, hopefully, within a year of being 'born', Mr Tonsilpus will be very famous around the globe.

We still need donations in order to reach the target set for his first charity and we need hosts from other countries, such as Africa, to take him on for a few days.

Information releases will be made over the next few days on Facebook, Twitter and various blogs so that we can get even more attention focussed on the little man.

Off we go

The little woolly one is coming back home from his UK tour for a rest and a clean up. His passport should already have a good few signatures in it, so I'll see if he needs another one, with more pages perhaps!

At the end of this month I will send him abroad to Canada; he's had lots of invites from that country, so he will stay there over Christmas and New Year - unless a New Yorker offers to take him for New Year's Eve and we can show him in Times Square.

If you want to host him, please use the form on the website. It's important you re-apply if you emailed before but didn't receive a response. His website is the only official route to hosting now, so get your skates on before he visits your neck of the woods and leaves before you see him!

Thanks to all those who have donated so far - the target is still a long way off but I'm sure we will crawl our way to it over the next few months.

The Video

My first video is now ready for viewing on Youtube and the website. I hope you like it and if you do, go and make a donation.

I'll be putting videos together showing all my travel pics and film as I trot around the globe, so keep watching!
